RESULTS:
-
Improve the competences of trainers, citizens in relevant sectors to respond to hate crimes, increase hate speech and interaction with immigrants/refugees and host country citizens.
-
Creating a toolkit for better understanding between different communities, including interfaith and intercultural activities.
-
Implement awareness-raising initiatives aimed at the general public, particular target groups and communities, to respond to racism, xenophobia and other forms of intolerance.
When the migration crisis emerged in Europe, most EU countries found that their national systems were not ready to accept migrants and refugees, integrate them efficiently both within society and in the labour market. The lack of targeted support and training can have serious consequences: 'Migrants remain excluded from the social (labour) aspects of local society, and local people have no direct contact.
With this project, we focus on preventing and combating xenophobia and anti-migrant hatred by developing activities so that there is better understanding between different communities and cultures through understanding interfaith and intercultural activities, focusing on:
Capacity building of educators and professionals,
Building community-based coalitions
Creating conditions and structural assistance in addition to a home, school, education and possibly work taking into account cultural and religious variables.
