‘‘Together it works’’

   ‘‘Together it works’’

RESULTS:

Ensure transfer for existing tools for assessment procedures and training for employees (managers);

Adapting and further developing all kinds of ´management´ competences to suit the needs of specific companies and the needs of the market;

Implementing and creating tailor-made trainings to identify the shortage in various individual competences;

Thoroughly evaluating the effects.

DECEMA stands for "DEvelopment CEntre for MAnagerial Competences." Companies had little awareness of the importance of developing all kinds of competencies of their employees and were unfamiliar with the quality tools and methods to assess their employees and are subsequently unaware of their employees' potential (and training needs!). Certainly the managers within organizations, especially within SMEs (small and medium-sized enterprises), were very little trained in the area of so-called ´soft skills´, but their performance (precisely in that area) is precisely very important for the merit of an organization. The market also did not have the right testing method to demonstrate these skills. Better recognition of the needs of the labor market was also needed to develop customized training methods that met the quality, efficiency and value-for-money that companies needed. This was to lead to an overall alignment of organizations, training and experts to ensure the best quality for skills development and improve the attractiveness of vocational education.
The main objective was to recognise, adapt and upgrade various materials to develop the most innovative and quality-oriented method for managerial competences. This method needed to be shaped, tested, evaluated and improved, as well as made more widely known in practice, especially in SMEs. In this way, not only to improve the awareness, effectiveness and employability of individual competences, but also to improve the accessibility and attractiveness of training and thus ensure the improvement of the competitiveness of SMEs.
