MOTIVATION: Both within the industry and within the vocational education was a great need for good practical assignments for sustainability in technical training. Especially the advent of new wualifications in this area are making the need for competency-based training structures huge. Also, a new law established in 2006, the "European Energy Performance of Buildings Directive” (EPBD) increased the demand for skilled workers and the attention of society in the environmental laws and regulations.

PURPOSE: Through this project, there was a base for a long-term development process and awareness for renewable energy. Of course the training of skilled workers was an essential part of these developments.

RESULTS:

 

•  Identify training needs for the sector;

•  Didactic training concept for sustainable development in the technical sector;

•  Developing information bulletins on sustainability;

•  Develop ICT learning tools for students in this sector;

•  Develop training materials in general;

•  A Sustainable Knowledge Platform.
